Destination weddings in Istria are often considered as simultaneous holiday and honeymoon. When having a destination wedding in Croatia you can extend the celebration during multiple days. But at the same time, you can also spend the most wonderful time with your family and closest friends.
Natalie, the Australian bride, and Richard, the English groom, wanted their destination wedding in Croatia to be romantic, intimate and elegant. However, they didn’t want to miss out on preparing a grand party for all their guests.
Gorgeous villa in Poreč offered an astonishing view, but also privacy for the newlyweds
Organizing a wedding starts by finding the perfect destination wedding venue in Croatia. Natalie & Richard fell in love with Villa Polesini in Poreč at the first sight. It is a timeless venue, where ancient romance enchants us every single time. This villa offered a lot of private space for their wedding ceremony and reception.
The newlyweds have accommodated their guests on the family-friendly island nearby Poreč. Villa Polesini certainly proved to be everything newlyweds could have imagined. Their wedding week was, above all, a journey shared with the closest ones. Most importantly, all their guests loved their holiday at the Adriatic Sea.
Wedding theme was a combination of elegant and chic, with lots of natural greenery and pastel white colors. Firstly newlyweds have sent photos of flowers and arrangements which they wanted to have on their wedding day. Then the florist Florami Studio was able to do a remarkable work for the ceremony and dinner decoration. The florist has made it happen using the seasonal flowers, which were the best to use for a spring wedding in Istria. Exception were the wedding bouquets. This is because bride’s extremely talented sister made them. She used a dash of dark color, with a lot of greenery and white David Austin roses.
Choosing the wedding flowers
For the wedding ceremony florist used white hydrangea, garden and regular roses, with greenage and white romantic decorative materials pinned up to a wooden arch construction. Our stunning bride Natalie made a delightful entrance to the wedding venue. She arrived directly to the ceremony. Her dazzling bridesmaids in white dresses lead the way in front of her. Bride’s daughter was the flower girl and proved to be the sweetest accessorize. Natalie was the happiest bride ever!
The bride and her bridesmaids tend to steal the spotlight during the wedding day. Despite of that, the groomsmen’s attire is just as important. Groom Richard was wearing a light blue suit, while groomsmen were more casual. Still, they wonderfully complemented groom’s look and chosen style. They wore light blue pants with white shirts and dark bowties. Richard and his fellas walked all together through the center of the city to come to the wedding venue. They impressed everyone around them. The entire bridal party looked amazing. It truly reflected the couple’s wedding style and their personalities.
Newlyweds and we strived to use the wedding style to compliment the stunning venue. We based the wedding theme design around a palette of bright tones, with neutral shades and lots of greenery. The florist used similar decoration for the dinner tables just like she used for the ceremony. Moreover, she decorated dinner tables with combination of white garden and England roses. She also used the glass centerpieces and different candles to add the height and dimensions to the tables. The result was a romantic and elegant vibe, with a true Istrian flair.
Intimate ceremony by the beach was followed by cocktail hour during sunset and amazing long dinner with the speeches. A great night-long party started right after the dinner.
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
In this paragraph we need to congratulate Natalie and Richard for starting their family! We’d also like to express gratitude to all vendors for helping us organize and coordinate the wedding of their dreams.
